Insurance Claims (Claim.MD Integration) — Q4 2026

Insurance billing via Claim.MD is on the roadmap for Q4 2026 and not yet available. When launched, Tendly will support electronic insurance claim submission for practices that bill insurance directly.

Submitting a claim:

  1. Open an invoice that has CPT and ICD-10 codes on its line items
  2. Click Submit Insurance Claim in the claims panel
  3. Enter the payer name (insurance company) and optional payer ID
  4. Submit — the claim is sent electronically to the clearinghouse

Tracking claims:

  • •Claims appear on the invoice detail page with their current status
  • •Click Refresh to check for status updates from the clearinghouse
  • •Statuses include: Submitted, Accepted, Rejected, Paid, and Denied

ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice):

When claims are processed, ERA data is fetched automatically and displayed on the invoice, showing what the insurance company paid and any patient responsibility.

To use insurance billing, you'll need a Claim.MD account. Add your CLAIM_MD_API_KEY and CLAIM_MD_ACCOUNT_ID in your environment settings.
